Mark Haynes Daniell, Founder/Chairman, Raffles Family Wealth Trust


Mark is the founder and chairman of the Raffles Family Wealth Trust, a Singapore-based strategic advisory boutique focused on strategies for family invest-ments, transactions and businesses. Raffles also provides services to wealthy families and their family offices in establishing and operating selected activities in Singapore, Europe, and other parts of the world. He is also the founder and chairman of his own family office in Singapore. Mark is a former senior partner at Bain & Company; director of Wasserstein Perella; and president of k1 Ventures, a strategic investment company publicly listed in Singapore. He created and chaired the Private Wealth Management Initiative as part of the Singapore government’s Economic Review Committee in 2002.

He is a director of various listed and private companies, including Olam International, Tiryaki Agro, Aquarius Investment Advisors Pte Ltd. (vice chairman), Sacoven PLC (chairman), and a co-founder of Capital Partners of Georgia.

He is the author of several books, including ‘Strategy for the Wealthy Family: Seven Principles to Ensure Riches to Riches Across Generations’. His first book ‘World of Risk’ was the Sunday Times Business Book of the Week.

Mark is a graduate of Harvard Law School (JD), Oxford University (University College, BA and MA), Amherst College (BA), and the Phillips Exeter Academy. He has also earned diplomas from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and l’Université Sorbonne-Paris (Paris IV). He has lectured at INSEAD, Harvard Business School, IMD, IESE, NUS, and other academic institutions, and is a frequent guest on the BBC, CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, Channel NewsAsia, and other media channels.
